The AI voice agent that runs your
BDC at 3am.
Dealerships get 200+ inbound calls/day across service + sales. The BDC drops 30%. Salespeople with customers can't take fresh leads. We install the AI that handles service appointment booking, sales lead qualification, finance prequalification triage, and recall outreach — wired to VinSolutions / DealerSocket / Reynolds. Live in 7 days. From $1,200/mo per rooftop.
What the open loop is costing you.
The conservative numbers below are pulled from luup's audit data and published industry research for automotive. Every leaky channel here is a competitor's win.
- · Cox Automotive 2024 Service Industry Study: 30% of dealership service calls go unanswered.
- · NADA average gross per service RO: $385. Average sales lead value: $1,400.
- · luup audit of 3 multi-rooftop dealer groups, Q1 2026.
Wired into the tools you already run.
VinSolutions and DealerSocket dominate the BDC stack — full read/write API access for leads + service appointments. Xtime is the standard for service scheduling. For Reynolds + CDK we use authorised partner endpoints. AutoTrader / Cars.com leads route through the AI before they hit the BDC queue.
Four playbooks shipping in week one.
Each playbook is shippable within live in 5 days of kickoff. Most automotive clients start with the first two and add the rest in weeks 2–4.
Service appointment booking
Caller wants an oil change or brake check — AI reads Xtime availability, books the slot matching the service type (express service vs full bay), sends SMS confirm with prep instructions (what to bring, drop-off vs wait). Routes maintenance plan customers to their assigned advisor.
+35% same-week service bookingsSales lead qualification (new + used)
AutoTrader / Cars.com / website lead triggers AI callback within 90 seconds. Qualifies (vehicle of interest, trade-in, financing vs cash, timeline), checks current inventory, books a test-drive slot with the salesperson best suited to the customer profile.
+22% test-drives / moFinance prequalification triage
Caller asks about financing — AI captures the basics (rough credit band, down payment, monthly target) and routes to the F&I manager with a soft handoff. Or sends a soft-pull credit-app link by SMS so the customer is pre-approved before the test drive.
~2× F&I conversion on prequal leadsRecall + service-due outreach
Outbound playbook for open recalls + customers due for their next service. AI explains the recall scope, books the service slot live, sends SMS with the appointment + loaner reservation if applicable.
5-7× response vs postcard recallReal numbers from a real operator.
A 3-rooftop dealer group we benchmarked recovered ~180 service ROs / month
What it costs, without the dance.
Automotive deployments run $1,200/month per rooftop for inbound only, $2,000/month per rooftop with outbound recall + service-due campaigns. Volume discounts at 5+ rooftops. Setup is $5,000-$8,000 for the first rooftop, $2,500 per additional.
Five things automotive operators ask first.
The questions every automotive prospect asks on the first call. Answers in writing so you can decide before booking.
Does it integrate with my DMS (VinSolutions, DealerSocket, etc)?
Yes — VinSolutions, DealerSocket, Reynolds, and CDK all supported via authorised partner APIs. Service appointments write to Xtime, sales leads write to the CRM with full call recording attached. Lead source attribution (AutoTrader, Cars.com, Google Ads) is preserved.
How does it know current inventory + pricing?
We pull your inventory feed (DealerCenter, vAuto, or DMS) so the AI knows what's on the lot in real-time. For new vehicles, MSRP + factory incentives are quoted from the OEM data. The AI never improvises a discount — finance offers come from the F&I manager only.
Service vs sales routing — does it get this right?
Yes. The AI runs an intent classifier in the first 10 seconds: keywords like "oil change", "check engine", "service" route to the service script. "Looking at", "test drive", "trade-in", "financing" route to sales. Edge cases (e.g. a service customer asking about a new vehicle) get warm-handed to sales after the service appointment is booked.
Is this FCC compliant for outbound campaigns?
Yes. Outbound playbooks (recalls, service-due reminders) only call customers with prior business relationship and explicit opt-in for SMS/voice contact. We honour Do Not Call lists, time-of-day restrictions per state, and TCPA opt-out flows. Recall calls are allowable under the safety-related exemption.
Multi-rooftop — how is pricing structured?
$1,200/month per rooftop for inbound BDC. Volume discounts kick in at 5+ rooftops. Each rooftop gets its own script variant (location-specific hours, service advisor names, dealer-group branding). Setup is $5,000-$8,000 for the first rooftop, $2,500 per additional rooftop.
