The closed-loop automation that frees
your CX, ops, and growth teams.
$3M-$30M DTC brands run on a stack of 12+ tools — Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias, Recharge, Airtable, Slack — and the connective tissue is human. We replace the human glue with Make.com + n8n flows. Returns process themselves. Reports update themselves. Your team focuses on growth, not glue.
What the open loop is costing you.
The conservative numbers below are pulled from luup's audit data and published industry research for ecommerce. Every leaky channel here is a competitor's win.
- · Klaviyo State of Ecom 2024: 67% of mid-market DTC brands cite 'tool sprawl' as #1 ops blocker.
- · Gorgias industry report: each hour of CX response delay costs an average of $14 in lifetime customer value.
- · luup audit of 5 mid-market DTC brands, Q1 2026.
Wired into the tools you already run.
Shopify as the source of truth for orders + customers. Klaviyo for lifecycle + segmentation. Make.com orchestrates the connectors — return webhook to Loop, supplier PO from low-stock alert, daily reporting roll-up to Slack. We pick the leanest stack that solves your bottleneck without adding a 13th tool.
Four playbooks shipping in week one.
Each playbook is shippable within live in 14 days of kickoff. Most ecommerce clients start with the first two and add the rest in weeks 2–4.
Returns workflow automation
Customer requests return → Loop / AfterShip eligibility check → label generated → SMS sent to customer → courier pickup booked → exchange order pre-created → CX team only handles the 15% of returns that need judgement. Saves ~28k/mo in CX time at $5M GMV.
~$28k / mo CX time savedCross-platform attribution + reporting
Daily roll-up: Shopify revenue + Klaviyo email attribution + Meta/TikTok ad spend + Northbeam / Triple Whale blended ROAS into one Airtable. Slack post every morning at 8am with yesterday's numbers. Stops the morning standup ritual of 'where are we today?'
~10 hrs / wk founder time savedLifecycle automation orchestration
Welcome series, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, VIP — all wired in Klaviyo with Make.com handling the cross-tool triggers (e.g. shipment delay → automatic apology + discount email).
+15% repeat purchase rateSupplier + inventory ops
Low-stock alert in Shopify → auto-PO email to supplier with luup-built template → reply parsed via AI → ETA + cost confirmed back in Airtable → finance team notified. Replaces the spreadsheet-and-email dance.

What it costs, without the dance.
Ecommerce automation runs $3,500-$10,000/month depending on stack complexity and number of automated playbooks live. Setup is $3,500-$7,500 one-time, including Shopify + Klaviyo + Gorgias integration audits and the first 3 production playbooks shipped.
Five things ecommerce operators ask first.
The questions every ecommerce prospect asks on the first call. Answers in writing so you can decide before booking.
Do I need to leave Shopify?
No. luup builds on top of Shopify, not against it. We use the Shopify Admin API for read/write, Shopify Flow for native automations, and Make.com / n8n for the cross-tool orchestration Shopify Flow can't handle.
Will this replace Klaviyo?
No. Klaviyo stays your lifecycle + segmentation engine. luup automates the cross-tool triggers around Klaviyo (order data into Klaviyo, behaviour out of Klaviyo into ad audiences, shipment data triggering Klaviyo flows).
What about international / multi-store setups?
Supported. We have shipped automation for 3-store DTC groups (US / EU / UK) with Klaviyo Markets and Shopify Markets. The Make.com scenarios route by store ID and respect tax / shipping logic per region.
How does this affect our CX team headcount?
Most luup ecom clients keep their CX team and reallocate. Returns automation alone frees ~15-25% of CX time. That time goes into proactive customer outreach, VIP retention, and product feedback — work humans do better than software.
How much does ecom automation cost?
$3,500/month for reporting + 1-2 lifecycle automations, $6,500/month for full lifecycle + returns workflow, $10,000/month for full ops (lifecycle + returns + supplier + multi-store). Setup is $3,500-$7,500.
